Since 2013, iHelpz has been committed to making a meaningful difference in the community, focusing on areas still recovering from Hurricane Katrina and on low-income and BIPOC communities. Guided by our core values of thoughtfulness, impact, and innovation, we create projects that provide enriching and uplifting experiences for those in need. Our efforts are concentrated on school campuses and parks because we believe every child deserves a safe, enjoyable, and beautiful space to learn and play, regardless of socioeconomic status. Over the past 12 years, iHelpz has contributed over 21,000 service hours and generated a financial impact of more than $350,000. This includes our annual company-wide service day and an additional service day offered to employees in the first half of the year to volunteer in their communities. What began as an idea from one staff member reflects our commitment to fostering innovation at all company levels. Today, iHelpz is a vital part of our company culture, continuing to impact the community.
For our most recent iHelpz service day, the iSeatz team had the opportunity to make a lasting impact at L.H. Marrero Middle School. We built a pavilion to provide much-needed shade during outdoor activities, helping to create a more comfortable environment for students with special needs. In addition, we dug out garden beds and planted shrubs that will eventually grow, offering more privacy for the school. We also contributed to the zen garden by moving rocks to enhance the space, helped organize books in the library, and cleaned out classrooms. In total, it iSeatz team provided over 500 hours of service to the project. Our service efforts provided $14,251 community impact. Our efforts made a meaningful difference in improving the school's facilities and overall atmosphere.
